It's official! I will be hosting another family art day @ beautiful Fielding Park on May 11th. Thank you to everyone who came out on February 10th to make the day a great success.

Families, friends, singles, adults, teens, children and even babies - everyone is welcome to register for one or more of these spring themed art workshops.  It's going to be a feel good day for gathering, creating and learning new skills. And a perfect day out with moms+ as Mother's Day falls on the same weekend.

For more information about each workshop, please visit www.katiefenerty.ca/familyartday

Weather permitting, we may move some sessions to the beautiful patio outside, so please dress accordingly. There's going to be complimentary juice, coffee, and tea available for all the sessions - please consider bringing a reusable cup / mug to save on waste!

Would love to host you and your family for a really lovely day of making art at the park! Don't hesitate to send me an email should you have any other questions.

Thank you, thank you to everyone who visited my booth during "ART BEAT: Celebration of the Arts" @ Sudbury Secondary School on March 4th, and folks who stopped by on March 16th for the McEwen School of Architecture's Nuit Blanche! Both were incredible community events that I was grateful to be a part of. Loved getting to catch up with so many of you who support my art and projects. It is incredibly meaningful and motivating to connect in person!

Also, my Paint Alongs have been SELLING OUT. This is wild to me - just shy of a year before I hosted my first event @ Alley Katz in Lively. THANK YOU to everyone who has purchased tickets so far, it really means so much to me - it empowers me to focus on my career as a visual artist and to offer engaging arts programming in community spaces. I have lots of ideas simmering on how to grow and give back with these events, so stay tuned if you are or plan to be a repeat guest. I never thought I would say this...but get your tickets early to avoid disappointment!

+ I wanted to shoutout to all of the cool cats who made March Break at Minnow Lake place an awesome place to be! I had a blast creating animal / wildlife themed art projects with young folks ages 8-12 all week long.

Looking to try something new this Spring? Maybe you want to enjoy relaxing and productive outings with a friend or two? I am offering two different art courses with the City of Greater Sudbury this season. Courses are 5 weeks starting April 3rd, 2024. Options for adults and children. I have advised the City that the courses are not advertised on their site / registration through their leisure portal is malfunctioning - currently the best way to register is by calling 311.

Tickets for April events are now available in my online store / the classes and workshops section of my site. Paint Alongs are casual, beginner friendly painting events held in groovy, local establishments. Great fun for an evening out!

I'm really looking forward to the "Total Eclipse" events, inspired by the upcoming celestial event on April 8th. You may have noticed a new venue that will be hosting us on the same evening - an event close to home if you're from Capreol! Come out to paint after watching the partial eclipse in real time! 🌘

That's all for now - thanks so much for reading and being here! We'll be doing some exploring and gathering inspiration from Belizean rainforests and wildlife over the next couple of weeks, but I'll get back on top of orders and emails ASAP upon my return at the beginning of April.

I have pretty well all my spring / summer show applications in minus a few top secret grant applications that I've been chipping away at. Here's what's confirmed so far, and fingers crossed I'll have more to add to the list over the next few months:

April 27th - Maker's North Collective Spring Handmade Market @ the Southridge Mall, Sudbury, ON. 70+ handmade artisans to check out, just in time for Mother's Day gifts!

May 4th - Wooffest hosted by Magical Paws Pet Therapy @ Bell Park, Sudbury, ON. This will most likely be the only day of 2024 that I'll be adding to my pet artwork list. Drop by to put down your deposit on a commission for 2024/2025 and receive a free digital package!

My BIG class visit menu is finally available for folks to browse. All kinds of artistic offerings suitable for schools and classrooms, community groups, parties and more. I'll be figuring out pricing details as interest and inquiries come in. I would love if you shared the menu with family, friends or colleagues and reached out for more info if something catches your eye! You can download the menu here.

My first artwork of 2024 is complete. "Winter of the Honey Bear" is a 24" x 24" work created using pyrography and painting techniques. ~40 hrs went into creating this textured piece. For those interested, I should have reproduction prints available in time for the Maker's North Spring Market.
