Paint Your Partner @ Respect is Burning

Date night with a hilarious painted twist! You've seen the trend on social media and now you can try it for yourself. Enjoy some laughs, quality time with someone you love, and to leave with a unique masterpiece of the person you walked in with. Treat yourself to some drinks and apps from our amazing host establishment (sold separately) and you have the perfect Friday night out! 

Notes: Tickets are $85.00 / couple - so you only need to purchase one per couple. 

If you plan to enjoy a full meal at the venue : they have requested that you arrive extra early to order and finish your meal downstairs. Only drinks and apps will be served in the upstairs part of the venue where we will be painting. Thank you for your understanding!

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets are $85.00 / couple

What's included with my ticket?
Use of all supplies required to complete your painting are included with your ticket, as well as some painting guidance from an experienced artist. You'll take home your completed painting on a stretched canvas, and there might be some small prizes to be won!

What time should I arrive to the event?
We start painting promptly at the event start time, so please arrive a few minutes early to get settled in. Give yourself time to find parking, your seat, grab a drink, etc. If you plan to enjoy a full meal, please note that the restaurant will only be serving drinks and apps in the upstairs painting location. So please arrive extra early to order and finish your meal downstairs before the event start time. 

What should I wear?
You will be provided with a water resistant painting apron. That being said, the artist cannot be held responsible for any rogue paint splatters that end up on your personal items. Acrylic paint will stain if left to dry on fabric and absorbing materials, so please dress accordingly.

Is food / drink provided?
Food and drink is not included with your ticket. However, you can purchase food / drink from the host establishment where the event will take place. You're encouraged to enjoy delicious fare from the local establishment before, during and after our painting session! Only drinks and apps will be available upstairs during the painting session, so if you're planning to eat a full meal at the restaurant please arrive early to finish your dinner downstairs. 

What if I have to cancel?

Life is busy, things come up. If you cannot make your event date/time you have a couple of options:

• Cancel 3 days or more before the event date to receive a full refund.

• If you need to cancel within 3 days of the event, please send an email to info@katiefenerty.ca and your tickets will be honoured for a future paint along event.

What if my event is cancelled? NEW *
Local establishment events now require a minimum of 8 couples to proceed (this does not include private events booked through the artist). There might be an occasion where low ticket sales, inclement weather, artist illness, or venue issues mean an event must be cancelled.

If your event is cancelled, ideally you will be notified a few days before or at the very least on the day of the event via the email / phone you provided at checkout. You’ll have the option to receive a refund for your ticket, or you can use your ticket towards a future Paint Along. Guests are asked to please check their phone, email (and junk mail) on the day of the event to ensure there are no cancellation notices.  

What about environmental sustainability?

Let’s face it – acrylic paint parties create waste. Fully aware of this fact, the artist strives for a Paint Along model that limits the waste it creates. Here are some ways Katie is committed to reducing her environmental impact while still hosting great events:

• Investing in durable, high-quality and reusable equipment such as aluminum painting easels, stainless steel water cups, and more. When selecting long-term products to use in her business, recycling and composting factors have been considered.

• For items which cannot be reused: the artist has opted for bamboo paper towels and fallen palm leaf painting palettes.

• Participation in Tomorrow's Artist recycled paint subscription program. Katie purchases artist-grade paints diverted from commercial waste streams to utilize in her art classes month to month.

• You will see paint stains on the tablecloths! This reflects a commitment to reducing the amount of waste classes produce.

• Development of a "Canvas Back" program.

What is the "Canvas Back" program?
Once in a while you come to an event and have a great time, but you leave with a painting you don’t love or that you seasonally want to switch out for a new one. If you find yourself in one of these situations, you are encouraged to leave your canvas with the artist instead of throwing it away. Katie will paint over the panel to use in other projects, you’ll get a special coupon code for $5 off your next event, and together we save waste!

Do you host private paint parties?
